Meet Thomas. Thomas is 11 years old and raised £150 for LMS Research by creating and selling his own paintings. We are so grateful to him and genuinely blown away by his talent and kindness. Thomas, you are our hero!
Jules
Jules ran the Media City Half Marathon in February in support of her dear friend Kate, who is living with stage 4 leiomyosarcoma. Jules raised an amazing £434 for LMSRUK.
Max
Max is four years old. His grandma has Leiomyosarcoma, and he wanted to help. So he set himself the challenge of swimming a whole width of the pool without armbands, and he did it. Max raised an incredible £1,678. Go Max!!
Kerry
Kerry organised a 10K sponsored walk around the Longdendale Trail in the Peak District in memory of her mum, who she calls Mamma G, who passed away in October 2024 from uterine Leiomyosarcoma. Kerry asked everyone to wear purple, her mum’s favourite colour, and the community showed up beautifully. She raised £1,633. Thank you, Kerry, for keeping Mamma G’s memory alive in such a meaningful way.
Richard
Richard rode his motorcycle solo from London to Helsinki and back, completing a full lap of the Baltic Sea, in memory of his friend’s partner Laura, who died from Leiomyosarcoma. He described the trip as having lots of thinking time and pulling focus onto the important things. He raised £2,162 for LMSRUK. We are so grateful for his determination and fundraising efforts!
